Hello! For those who may be unaware, I am griffin-gryphon, or Jack, whichever you prefer. For those coming from my posts, or those who are regular visitors, welcome back. I have some interesting news. I've begun work on my next project. Not a webnovel. Rather, a novella series. For those not coming from my posts, here's the jist of it:
I ask you, Trisilian Derenta, to join the Tourney of the Gods!”A long, long time ago, a deity, incapable of being described, created a world without a name, and filled it with life. It created a man who was the definition of all goodness, and another, defined solely by the vices of the living, before leaving the world to its own devices. Millions of years have passed, and the world has matured from the simple planet it was before. In this time, the life of the 51st god is coming to an end. After the capture of one of his daughters, he decides to let the rest hold a tourney to decide who will replace him after he passes, with the promise that he will choose for each of them the most worthy of warriors he can find. With the rules set in place, a thousand years pass... The name of the project is Pawns of the Godesses, and for those wondering, no, this isn't just off the cuff. I've already finished the first volume outline. I plan on posting updates here whenever major progress is made. So, keep your eyes open. I hope you're all excited. I know I am... -griffin-gryphon

Hello, readers! Great news, the first draft of Chapter 1 is done. Editing will start tomorrow, so now I can get started on my new outline AND get back to work on my japanese. Moving away from writing, The Last Wish and Galaxy's Edge: Legionnaire are my current reads. I'm about half way through The Last Wish and am really enjoying it. Geralt is a sarcastic badass, and I love him, and definitely plan on picking up the other installments in the witcher series. I just started Legionnaire, so I can't give any definite thoughts on it yet. Two books, Neir Long Story Short and Iridescent, are coming in over the coming days and am excited to see how those pan out.
Till next time, -griffin-gryphon So, I owe you an apology. For the past couple days, I've been sick with something I don't know the name of (the name was ling, okay) but it was a rather awful experience. Anyways, I got out of the hospital around 3:30 on Wednesday and have spent the last couple days recovering. Unfortunately, this means I've gotten little writing done, so it's safe to say the chapter is gonna take a while to finish. I'm sorry. Nonetheless, I will get to writing. A good day to you all!
Hey all! Sorry, but no P.P.F re news. In fact, I haven't really touched it today. Not that I don't want to get back to it, but because of a recent project that has my attention at the moment (a new novel, for those curious.) But, really, even though I take so long to write a chapter, I'm just suffering from a little burnout. Hence, lately, been just a little more lax. I've finally had some more time for reading. Just started the Halloween (2018) novelization, and am enjoying it immensley! So, I'll start writing Chapter 8 tomorrow, but, till then, Gidnight!
-griffin gryphon Hello, readers!
Chapter 7 is going alright. About halfway through and am excited to see it finished. This one has honestly been a bit of a pain in the butt, but I'll live, so hey, there's that. I hope Chapter 6 has interested you into reading on. Oh, and those worried about how Ralph is doing, Chapter 8 will bring us back to the little weirdo. Now, I'm hitting the hay for tonight. Goodnight! -griffin gryphon 2019 is almost upon us, and with that are coming some changes. First, I want to talk about the release of the first volume of P.P.F. Honestly, there was a lot more I wanted to do, which you may have already read on my Facebook, but I decided that those plans would be saved for later on. I'm still really grateful about being able to get here. The only other time I did this was me drawing on something I ultimately already knew how to write, so this is new for me. I know where this story is going, and I'm so excited for you to see. Currently, we're half way through the first arc, and I hope you're as excited as I am about seeing Ralph move forward. Have a happy new year.
How are all of you? I hope you had a lovely Christmas, I sure did. I want to update you all on the first vole of P.P.F. I've just about finished the first extra Chapter and decided that those origin chapters would be better off just being implemented directly into the story. So, early apologies, and extra apologies for being late to releasing this. It was a long process figuring out what I wanted these chapters to be about, and I should have planned this process out better. Rest assured I have learned my lesson and will plan this better next time. Well, that's all for the moment. I hope your excited to meet the wonderful Anely and look forward to the next chapter of P.P.F re.
The last chapter of P.P.F came out months ago, and despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to write anything since. That adrenaline that filled me was honestly lost after the first chapter, and I just wrote with no meaning, hoping that it would still intrigue people. I occasionally said I was still working on it, but in truth, I've just been thinking about where I want the novel to go. If I even really knew what I was doing to begin with.
Then I thought about it a little more. About what story I really wanted to write. And, slowly, I've begun to piece it all together. The story I want to write is much more deserving of attention and care then the one I've been pumping out like its on an assembly line. So, here's what I'll do: 1. I'll restart P.P.F for the second time, except this time, I'll be editing Chapter one minimally and it will still be considered cannon. Chapters 2-4 are now to be considered non cannon. 2. This time, instead of going with what sounds good at the moment, I'll plot out the whole story with an outline, much like I should have done from the start. 3. I will begin updating people more often about how things are going. This way, nobody is caught out of the blue when a new chapter goes up or when I am taking a break from writing. Hopefully, this should fix my problem and allow me to produce chapters at a more steady rate. For anyone who has questions about this post, you can email me at: [email protected] Everyone, I'll see you all soon. Peace! -Griffin Gryphon |
